About Us
FOWPRC are committed to honouring, preserving and sharing the historical legacy of the former Woodman Point Quarantine Station. The Quarantine Station was built in 1886 to isolate those suffering from, or at risk of, diseases such as smallpox, leprosy and Spanish flu. The experiences of staff and patients who walked the corridors of the Isolation Hospital were truly unique, and we are delighted to share them with the community.
FOWPRC have been involved in the ongoing maintenance and promotion of the site for almost twenty years, and we have proudly been conducting tours for the public since 2010.
